Ozzie is used by children, so we keep this short and in plain language. If anything here is unclear, ask us and we will answer it directly.

Who we are

Ozzie is operated by Ozzie LLC, registered in the United Arab Emirates. You can reach us at salam@myozzie.app.

Who holds the account

A parent or guardian creates the account and stays in control of it. A child uses Ozzie through that account. We do not offer accounts directly to children.

What we collect

From you as the parent: your email address, and anything you choose to tell us in feedback or interviews.

About your child: a first name or nickname, an age or age range, and their progress through lessons, which is what the parent dashboard shows you.

Voice recordings: when your child recites, Ozzie records their voice so it can respond. This is covered separately below because it matters most.

Basic technical data: device type and app version, so we can fix problems.

What happens to your child's voice

When your child recites, the recording is used to work out what they said so Ozzie can give feedback in the moment. Once that is done, the recording is deleted.

We keep a recording for longer only if you explicitly opt in to help improve how Ozzie listens. That choice is yours, it is off unless you turn it on, and you can turn it off at any time. Recordings kept this way are used for that single purpose and nothing else.

We do not sell recordings. We do not share them for advertising. We do not use them to build a profile of your child.

Recordings kept with your consent are held for a limited period and then deleted. We will state the exact period here once it is settled.

What we never do

No advertising, anywhere in Ozzie. No selling of personal data, ever. No third-party advertising trackers in the app. No links out to the open web from the child experience.

Where your data is held

Your email address and any answers you give us are held by Resend, the email platform we use to run our waitlist and to write to you. We have chosen their European region, so your data is stored and processed in the European Union. We use a small number of service providers to run Ozzie, and they are only permitted to process data on our instructions.

Your controls

You can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, export it, or delete it, including your child's recordings and progress. Ask at salam@myozzie.app and we will act on it.

Deleting your account deletes your child's data with it. We do not keep a shadow copy.

Children's privacy

Ozzie is designed for children aged 6 to 12, used through an account a parent controls. Where laws such as COPPA or the UK and EU rules on children's data apply, we rely on your consent as the parent, and you can withdraw it at any time by contacting us or deleting the account.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your data in a way that affects you, we will tell you before it takes effect rather than quietly updating this page.
